Heart breaker, thumb sucker!

Samuel has started sucking his thumb. Should I be worried? I try to pull it out whenever I can, but I can't be there all the time. Is this something kids grow out of? Sigh. I must sound like an overly worried mom. I just don't want him doing it when he is in kindergarten. Anyway, this cutie has started sleeping from about 9:30-10:00 pm until 8:00 am. It is wonderful. He is a good kid. Here are a few pictures from the past week. We love you all.

Hi all. Sam turned 4 months old on Saturday! We can't believe our baby is getting so big. He has started rolling over, so we think we are in trouble. Hopefully he'll wait awhile before he becomes mobile. He is a cutie! He wasn't too happy when Patricia was taking his 4 month pictures, as you can tell in the pictures. For some reason he hasn't been sleeping all that well lately. We hope to get him back on track soon. We are going to incorporate some solid foods soon (rice cereal).

Things in our family have been good, but a bit hectic. This week Patricia was asked to teach a second section of her course at BYU Idaho. So, this semester she is teaching almost 90 online students. There was a bit of a mixup with this second section, so she didn't get it until class had been going for almost two weeks. There has been a lot of catchup work for her to do, but she is getting paid extra to take it on, and the extra money is nice. She also took a photography class this past week (a Christmas gift from Ryan), she learned a lot about working our DSLR camera and she had a lot of fun. It was an all day class, so it will take her awhile to remember and put into practice what she has learned.

Ryan is still working hard to finish up his degree. He has been making a lot of progress lately and will hopefully be able to finish soon. He has also been searching for a job. If you can, keep us in your prayers over the coming months so that he can find something that he will enjoy. :) Ryan plays basketball every Thursday with other men in our ward. They started playing real games this week for our stake so he has been SO happy.

We're back. Just updating with cute pictures of our son! 

I don't think Sam is going to crawl. I think he is going to go straight to walking. He has no interest in being on his tummy. But, he loves standing and jumping. Totally a boy! One funny thing that he has been doing lately is he has started laughing through diaper changes. The second we take off his diaper he breaks out in peels of laughter. I was in the kitchen the other day when Ryan was changing him. This was their conversation.

Ryan-"Hey buddy, let's change your diaper"

I started laughing so hard I couldn't contain myself. Such a funny kid.
