He's a Davis!!

Today we finalized Samuel's adoption. It was a special day. Patricia's parents and Ryan's parents both came to Idaho to be here for the court date. Our LDS Family Services caseworker, Dale Schneider, and our lawyer Royce Lee was there as well. Sam was adorable through the whole thing. We were a little worried because the court was during Sam's naptime, but he was amazing. He was quiet and happy through the entire thing. We made promises to love, support, and care for Sam and we signed some paperwork. It was very tender and special. It was also a gentle reminder of how grateful we were to have an open adoption. We could say confidently that we knew Samuel's birthmother wanted him in our family. That knowledge is a blessing.

As a new family, with both sets of Grandparents!

We are so blessed to have had so many amazing and professional people on our side. From our caseworker, to our lawyer, judge, ward members, our families, Sam's birthfamily, and ultimately, the Lord. We know that everything lined up because our Heavenly Father wanted it to. We have been the recipients of so much love and support. Most important, we have the sweetest boy. We love him with all of our hearts.
