Sending sloppy Valentine kisses from Sam!
Our boy is getting so big. He has been teething recently (all four molars decided to come at once!) so things have been a little tragic at our house. Other than that, he is a happy and silly boy. He is a picky eater sometimes, but sometimes not. We never know from one day to the next what he is going to like. But, in general he will eat spicy chili while throwing chocolate cake on the floor. Crazy kid!
Sam is starting to talk more, and has added Da, Mom, and uh oh to his vocabulary (along with cheese of course). His favorite word is definitely uh-oh and he uses it all the time.
Ryan started a new job this week at Idaho National Lab. We feel so blessed. It is a wonderful job that will allow us to stay here in Idaho. After nearly six years of marriage, we have employer provided benefits! Wahoo! Sam and I couldn't be prouder of Ryan and all he has worked to accomplish. He is still working on his dissertation in his off hours and is incredibly close to finishing.
In other big news, we will be completing the last piece of our adoption paperwork next Friday! Our adoption caseworker will be coming for a home visit. We hope to be homestudy approved in the next few weeks. If you'd like to start spreading the word for us now, feel free to share our adoption blog (http://ryanpatriciaadoption.blogspot.com/) with anyone who is or might know of someone who is considering adoption for their baby. Like with Sam, we have felt impressed over and over again that our Heavenly Father wants us to adopt. We pray every day for our next baby and their birth family. If you'd like to add your prayers to ours, we would be so grateful. :)
We are so appreciative of the love and support that we have been given in recent years by our friends and family. Through years of difficult schooling, infertility, adoption, a long job search, and now, another adoption, we know that our little family has occupied the prayers of our loved ones. Thank you for your petitions to heaven. We have felt on more than one occasion those prayers in our behalf.
Happy Valentines Day! We love you!
